Who is Jacob McFee?

Jacob is a special little boy who has a shaggy pet dog called Fred.

And Fred himself has a pet - a friendly little flea he rescued from a flea circus.

The thing that makes Jacob special is that he has a secret that only he, Fred and flea know about - a magical bed.

He doesn't remember how or when he got the bed or when he first noticed the little red button on the headboard, but he does remember pressing it for the first time to see what it did.
